This will be a BIG day for the trainers, horses and Blaze’s. Blaze’s will host a lunch and offer support and encouragement. 30 May 2015 will be SHOW TIME! *WHERE*: Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma *REWARD*: Cash prize, trophy saddle, buckles and more! Get ready for one of the most exciting equine events of the year in Oklahoma! Blazes Tribute Equine Rescue presents the 2015 Blazes Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. The challenge is an event designed to showcase the skills of local equine trainers, while increasing the adoptability of previously-untrained rescue horses. ALL HORSES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION FOLLOWING THE EVENT!!!! This event will pair up some of the areas top horse trainers, with untrained rescue horses. The trainers will have approximately 125 days to take their horse and turn it into a well-trained, dependable riding partner. During the training period, you will have the chance to follow your favorite trainer/horse team and watch their progress on this website. Then, on May 30th, trainers will compete in a day-long event that will end with a fabulous awards banquet during which we will crown the Blazes Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge Champion!! Trainers will be competing for some great prizes which will include: Cash prize of not less than $1000, Trophy Saddle, Trophy Buckles, Trophy Headstalls and more!! During the event day, we will also be offering entertainment, door prizes, educational stations, adoptable rescue horses, vendors and much, much more! **We have not yet made our trainer selection, so if you think you can take a great rescue horse and turn it into a treasured riding partner within 125 days, let us know!! The competition is open to trainers of all disciplines. Trainers will be competing for cash prizes, a trophy saddle and much more. This is a great chance to show the world that rescue horses are just as good at everything as other horses, and that a great trainer can make a great horse even better. All horses for the competition will be un-trained and sound. They will all be halter broke and broke to lead, most will stand for the farrier, All horses will have a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance.
