B0J 2M0 (902) 689-2414 [email protected] nrfrc.ca Job Description: The NRFRC is a community based non-profit organization enhancing family support networks and parenting skills and providing child centered programs for children 0 - 12 years. Designation: 30 + hours per week, permanent part-time, may develop to full-time. Salary: To be negotiated, $20,000.00 - $30,000.00 annually Start date: August 18th 2014. Job description: To collaborate with staff and volunteers to develop, promote, facilitate/implement and evaluate programs for parents/care givers, families and children. Parenting classes may include; nobody’s perfect & winning at parenting. Children’s programs may include; playgroup, tumblebugs, baby and me, cooking with children and others as opportunities present. Necessary Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Classification under the Day Care Act and Regulations 40(1) of Day Care regulations Experience in related field First Aid Certification Criminal Record Check Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with community based programs, organizations and families Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to develop and implement centre based programs The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and understand the collaborative approach with co-workers, families and other participating members Excellent communication skills (written and oral), organization and administrative skills Computer skills to maintain website A willingness to pursue professional development when necessary We thank all interested candidates for applying.
