**WARNING PLPR** (Particularly Long Positive Rant) Definitely - TopicsExpress

**WARNING PLPR** (Particularly Long Positive Rant) Definitely humbled by this chasecation overall and very happy with the results so far. I guess I had willed myself to believe that I would see meso derived tornadoes but that may not be the case so far. Nebraska had amazing storms 6/3/14 and myself and Jodi witnessed some crazy stuff regardless. First time Ive ever heard tornado sirens for their actual use instead of testing, and first time seeing large gustnadoes and serious SLC/RFD/Gust out lol. Until we get a solid damage report I cant call what I saw a tornado. That being said I think its important to note that by being humbled I mean I understand how difficult, time consuming and stressful it can be to do this stuff. Although I have many chases under my belt and lots of severe storms, nothing compares to the supercells I have witnessed in the last 2 weeks. I made chasing my full time passion in life nearly 3 years ago and feel like what Ive seen in the last 2 weeks pales in comparison to the monsoon, cold core coastal set ups and Canadian prairie stuff I have got so far. I have learned so much its unbelievable and it has just made me want to work harder and get out to the plains more often. I think I have done well with my chasing recently and most importantly I owe that to people like Will Wilkens, Mike Olbinski, Jodi Mair, Reed Timmer: Meteorologist and Extreme Storm Chaser, and all of TVN really, and so many more that I cant mention you know who you are.. I also want to thank people like My parents Scott Drieschman and Cory Laughlin, my biz partner Phaysbuk Uncutdj Suhks, my oldest friend Tim Cowdin for providing me with the tools and support to succeed at what I love most in life. You believed in me and thats the best gift someone could receive. I owe you guys a lot and Im not afraid to say that Im new and Im trying to do my best to lose this chip on my shoulder about where I stand in the chasing community. Ive learned that its not about a status quo, I feel I dont need to fit in anymore and my focus has shifted to where it should be, concentrating on honing my chase ethics and all that goes with it and most importantly the storms. The storms are where it started for me when I was very young and thats where my passion will end up, just like it does every time I get to stare up at a ridiculous storm like when I watched lightning from my bedroom window as a kid, in total amazement. I do this so I can always get to feel like that again if even for a moment. So thank you for putting up with the FNG, I promise I will keep learning and in some ways I will always be new, because I feel like there is more to learn about severe weather than one could in a lifetime. It has given me a reason to be a better person, to be proud of myself, and to see the strongest weather our Earth has to offer, while living my dream. Thank you.
