******WE CALLED THEM CHENNAI SUPER FIXER. SOME DIDNT BELIEVE IT. NOW READ THE NEWS*********** An FIR has been registered against BCCI president N Srinivasan and and his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan for allegedly fixing a match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur this year. The complaint has been filed by Mehmood Abdi, president of Sri Ganganagar District Cricket Association in Jyoti Nagar police station, Jaipur, on Friday after a court directive. Confirming about the FIR, investigating officer Om Prakash informed that the complainant has alleged that the match on May 12 was fixed. In his complaint, Abdi has alleged that Srinivasan and Meiyappan used their substantial influences to ensure that CSK underperformed so that they gain financially through betting. It is alleged that several individuals’ integrity was compromised due to them being under the employment of India Cements. “We have been studying the matter and have now filed the complaint. It is under investigation and I hope police will fairly investigate this scam and will reach the bottom and book the wrongdoers,” Abdi told dna. The complainant alleged that CSK boasted of some powerful hitters but not a single six was scored that innings, while RR hit nine sixes. The average score of CSK in IPL 6 was 188 runs, whereas in the Jaipur match, they could aggregate only 140. It is also alleged that pre-match rumours suggested that CSK would deliberately underperform and score around 130 to 140 to ensure a RR victory. CSK scored 141 and Royals chased it down in 17 overs.
