WELCOME TO EVERYONE SUPPORTING THIS EVENT: March & rally in Auckland, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5th, (meeting 11.30am, Queen Elizabeth Square) to celebrate the unique value & worth of ALL animals, including endangered wildlife, for World Animal Day - an internationally recognised event when many marches are also being held globally at this time. This march is supported by the Global March for Elephants & Rhinos (GMFER march4elephantsandrhinos.org/#!the-crisis/c1dyn PLEASE register as maybe if you think you are unlikely to actually physically attend this event. Many thanks. We will be joining with the Auckland branch of SPCA for this occasion. The purpose of the parade is not only to be a strong show of support for the welfare of the worlds wildlife but to also acknowledge the importance of ALL animals in our lives, domesticated or otherwise. There will be a rally at 11.30am in Queen Elizabeth Square where there will be keynote speakers. Then the march will depart from Queen Elizabeth Square, (down town Auckland) at 12.15pm and proceed up Queen St to St Matthews church in the city for a blessing ceremony for ALL the represented animals to commemorate St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals - a symbol for World Animal Day.
