** WESTERN AUSTRALIAN STORMS SET TO SPREAD SOUTH ** Lets the fun times begin if your a storm chaser in Western Australia as a block and cooler weather over south eastern Australia will contribute to a quasi stationary surface trough over western parts of WA which will bring heat and storms. The block with the high well south of Tasmania and low in the Tasman sea will indirectly impact WA for the next week, a surface trough is set to deepen and hardly move thanks to the block over south eastern Australia which means some areas of western parts of WA may see a run of showers and thunderstorms for many days. An upper trough will also push in from the west Friday and into next weekend which will also contribute to helping thunderstorms form. Few showers and isolated thunderstorms will also move as far south into Perth on Wednesday and Thursday before contracting further north and north east on Friday as a high ridges strengthens well south of the state however there are signs that the storm activity will push back south again with the help of the upper trough especially through Sunday and Monday and in response the surface trough digs in again and pushes southwards. Some areas in the Gascoyne, Central west and Central Wheat belt may see thunderstorms most days starting from Wednesday onwards. The stalling pattern is looking likely it will continue to at least early next week so it looks like a prolonged period of mid summer unsettled weather as this trough hangs about which will be aligned from north to north east to south to south west.
