***WET AND STORMY WEATHER ON THE WAY*** Well after the events of the weekend many residents were hoping for a dry couple of weeks but unfortunately for you, this will not be the case. Tomorrow a large trough system will near southwest QLD generating showers, storms and rain areas. Over the next week this system should gradually shift east before stalling over the far western Darling Downs next weekend. Rainfall amounts in the next 8 days as forecast by the OCF are (mm): Amberley - 84 Applethorpe - 73 Archerfield - 87 Beaudesert - 83 Beerburrum - 82 Brisbane CBD - 85 Brisbane Airport - 87 Bundaberg - 66 Coolangatta - 102 Dalby - 66 Gatton - 80 Gayndah - 82 Gold Coast Seaway - 103 Gympie - 74 Hervey Bay - 75 Jimna - 77 Kingaroy - 71 Logan City - 94 Maleny - 76 Maryborough - 65 Nambour - 80 Oakey - 70 Redcliffe - 75 Sunshine Coast - 82 Tewantin - 77 Texas - 56 Toolara - 68 Toowoomba - 73 Warwick - 75 As you can see some large falls can be expected and be in mind most of these will be from thunderstorms so falls under them should be much larger. At this stage some models are indicating that Tuesday may be a very wet and stormy day with some models having areas of SEQ looking at 100mm+. I will have a detailed update on Tuesday week (9th December) however if you are planning outdoor activities next weekend it may be a good idea to either postpone or make sure you have some wet weather gear and plans. We will see impacts from this from Thursday onwards, Note: Please no dots, any dot comments will be hidden
