Well, these two ideologies and social constructs are the reality we live with and live within. Anyone who is uncomfortable with the subject matter is uncomfortable with TRUTH. Ones discomfort with the TRUTH of our vile society enjoys the ILLUSION of PROGRESS. In a Capitalist society, the only TRUE progress is ECONOMIC progress. Again, BLACK people in America own and control less than ONE PERCENT (1%) of the total U.S. Economy; the same percentage of the U.S. Economy that BLACK people owned and controlled - collectively - at the advent of Emancipation [1866]. Social Progress [which is CULTURAL CONSUMPTION masquerading as INTEGRATION] is NOT truly PROGRESS, at all. Side: JAMES BALDWINS words are still RELEVANT to those who are ENLIGHTENED, and see beyond the SMOKE & MIRRORS of the American ILLUSION of PROGRESS. I dont see PROGRESS; I dont see EQUALITY; and I dont see many people working toward LIBERATING THEMSELVES, ECONOMICALLY. You and I will NEVER overcome without doing the WORK thats necessary to facilitate TRUE LIBERATION; that work revolves around becoming ECONOMICALLY, INDUSTRIALLY, and POLITICALLY INDEPENDENT, as a collective group [BLACK people as a race of people; along with the conscious WORKING CLASS of ALL races]!
