**WINTER WEATHER UPDATE 2PM** Winter weather conditions are expected in the Texas panhandle today and tomorrow. Snow and freezing rain are expected late this afternoon through Saturday afternoon. Heavy snowfall of 5 to 8 inches is expected in the NW panhandle around Dalhart, with 2 to 5 inches expected around Amarillo. Eastern panhandle cities including Pampa and Canadian could see freezing rain, then lesser accumulations of snow. Travel will be extremely dangerous tonight through tomorrow, and motorists are urged not to travel if they dont have to.
