*** WWE Night of Champions 2014 Results *** * Kick-Off Show Peep Show: Christian with Chris Jericho Christian and Y2J did a little reminiscing of their past tag team. They are having a good time in this segment. They showed a video on Ortons attack on Y2J on Raw 3 weeks ago. Orton then interrupts the two. Randy was mocking Y2J and was goofing around on the large screen. Jericho calls Orton a total jackass and promises that The Viper will never... ever be the same again after their match tonight (That was actually a very funny Peep Show segment to say the least.) * WWE Tag-Team Championship: Goldust & Stardust beat The Usos to become the new tag team champions. Entertaining match from these 2 teams as expected which saw the Usos did their suicide dive on the Dust Brothers outside of the ring. One of the Usos send Stardust back in the ring and goes for the top rope splash. Stardust gets his knees up to counter it and gets the roll-up 3 count for the victory. * WWE United States Championship: Sheamus beat Cesaro to retain his US title. A solid exchange from two skilled powerhouse Superstars. Late part of the match saw Cesaro hitting Sheamus in the corner multiple times. Cesaro would then rush into Sheamus only to eat a Brogue Kick out of nowhere from Celtic Warrior, who gets the 3 count for the win. * WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Miz(w/ Damien Sandow) defeated Dolph Ziggler(w/ R-Truth) to become the new Intercontinental Champ. Another solid match for the evening. Late part in the match, there was a good exchange of nearfalls and counter wrestling. Miz manages to lock in the Figure Four but Ziggler manages to break it. Ziggler manages to hit a Fame-asser out of nowhere but only for another 2 count. Sandow goes on the apron to distract Dolph but he eats a Superkick. This allows Miz to roll-up Ziggler with a handful of tights to get the win and steal the title. * Seth Rollins came out with a referee with him and says that emergency surgery is not an excuse to miss Night of Champions, and gives Roman Reigns to the count of ten to get in the ring. The referee counts to ten and announces Seth as the winner over Roman Reigns. Seth then issues an open challenge to anyone. Backstage, a taxi stops by and out comes Dean Ambrose running straight towards the ring. Dean gets in the ring and they brawl, which spilled into the stands. Steph and Triple H comes out with security guards to stop Dean, but Ambrose dives off a platform to take them all out. The brawl continues between the 2 former Shield co-members. Until, finally, security guards manages to take Dean down,tie him up and carry him away. Seth, Stephanie and HHH leaves to boos from the crowd. * Rusev defeated Mark Henry via submission. Mark was in control for most of the match until he was rammed by RUsev into the steel steps on the outside. Rusev would dominate from then on. Henry manages to hit a Worlds Strongest Slam but Rusev would fight back and lock the Accolade to force Henry to tap out. * Randy Orton beat Chris Jericho in a very good match. Good chemistry from the two Superstars as we saw a back and forth setting for throughout the match. Late part of the match saw Y2J hit a Codebreaker to counter an RKO only for a 2-count. Y2J then goes to the top rope and leaps into Randy. Orton would catch him with an RKO for the victory. * WWE Divas Championship: AJ Lee defeated Nikki Bella and Paige in a Triple Threat Match to become the New Divas Champion. Solid Divas match which saw AJ slam Nikki from the apron straight to the floor to eliminate her in the equation. This would allow AJ to lock the Black Widow on Paige, who tried to fight it off but ended up tapping out giving AJ the win and the Divas title. * WWE World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena beat Brock Lesnar via disqualification, but Brock is still champion. This match was far from their last encounter where Brock dominated the entire match. Cena wont allow Lesnar to dominate his match and he even was in the control in the late part of the match. We saw Kimura Locks and a barrage of German Suplexes from Lesnar. But Cena will fight with STFs and Attitude Adjustments. Late part in the match saw Cena having Brock in an STF but just wont tap out. Cena picks Brock up and hits a 4th AA on him. However, Seth Rollins come out of nowhere and hits Cena with the MITB Briefcase causing the DQ finish. After the bell, Seth hits Brock with a Curb Stomp and tells the referee that he is cashing in. However before the match could start, Cena pulls him and they brawl back and forth causing Rollins to retreat with his briefcase. Cena would turn around into an F5 from Lesnar. Heyman and Lesnar leaves the ring with the WWE title. The PPV will end with Cena has his arm raised as winner but not satisfied becuase he didnt get Lesnars title. ************************
