Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. -Deuteronomy 5:33 How can we demonstrate or love for God? By accepting His Son as our personal Savior and by placing Christ at the center of our lives and our hearts. Jesus said that if we are to love Him, we must obey His commandments (John 14:15). Thus, our obedience to the Master is an expression of our love for Him. In Ephesians 2:10 we read, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. These words are instructive: We are not saved by good works, but for good works. Good works are not the root, but rather the fruit of our salvation. Today, let the fruits of your stewardship be a clear demonstration of your love for Christ. When you do, your good heart will bring forth many good things for yourself and for God. Christ has given you spiritual abundance and eternal life. You, in turn, owe Him good treasure from a single obedient heart...yours.
