(Warning - a partial spoiler from the season opener) - What a great performance I thought by the actor playing Gareth, the sequence at the end when he opens his eyes and opens them up again, the message in that in those few seconds hes become a different person and knows what he needs to do is utterly conveyed by his face. While the plots differ in the story arcs between the comics and the show, the bad guys can all justify their behaviour and we get thier backstories; only a few are just moustache-twirling, out-and-out bastards; the rest are just lead badly or wrong place at the wrong time and stayed too long.
