*Warning.. With love. November 1st is not a day I dread on the calendar since 2006. Its a day that I am still ever so grateful for. A day in which even though tears are my eyes in writing this.. They are not sad ones. They are of thanksgiving for remembering a man that I was blessed to call my daddy & years later even my close friend. When I think of Heaven - no doubt I am thankful hes there. But, since he was truly only a good man... Hes not whom I think about waiting and wanting to be with. And I know hes not there pining away for his little girl to be with him. For my daddy & I share(d) in common the belief that Heaven is about God.., Jesus. Just like our moments are on earth are to be lived for. I was the one that had the privilege of realizing daddy had taken his last breath. I say privilege because that meant he was where he longed to be finally. That morning... As I sang I Can Only Imagine to him & he in his own limited way sang with me... We worshipped together there in his hospital room. After I realized he had gone to Heaven - I walked in to the hallway of the hospice facility & threw up my hands & praised God. For my faith will be made sight. I received a physical healing in 2003. I remain grateful. My daddy received the Ultimate Healing in being with our Creator, Savior & Lord. Some of the best advice I have received came from Pastor Tommy Teague... He told me back in April of 2005 to start grieving the man my daddy had been. Larry Brown would have never need his daughter, favorite son-in-law & their 3 sons to be live-in caregivers. I took that advice & have given it ever since. We each will die at some point unless Christ comes back first. This life is temporary.. Eternity is forever. And God is my Real Father whom I look forward to living with even though Hes right here with me in the words that I only type. Youve been prayed for!
