“We pray with fingers crossed; but You listen patiently anyway.” In other words, we pray, hoping against hope that our words will make it past the ceiling into heaven; meanwhile, God is sitting there on our bedside, empathetic to our cries for help. If we just believed Him when He says He loves us and will take care of us, we would begin to walk in victory. What difference would believing what you pray for make? How could you act upon that belief? “Lord God, you know all of my issues. Please help me to believe in You – fully – when I have to face them today. You know that I love You. Please help me to overcome this, so I can glorify Your Name. Help me overcome my unbelief, so I can have the peace that I’m meant to have in Christ. Amen.”
