.We should believe, as a matter of default, what an accuser says. Ultimately, the costs of wrongly disbelieving a survivor far outweigh the costs of calling someone a rapist. I have read, and re-read, this article in the Washington Post that literally argues for guilty unless proven innocent, five times, and I am still unsure if is a parody if not... Scarily, I think it probably isnt, and that Washington Post seriously fit to print an op-ed justifying lying for the greater good.
