#WeAre in Danger, Sen. Kaka Cries Out#Following another round of violence at a senatorial event of APC organised by Senator GbengaObada at Wasimi, Ogun State, on Thursday, Senator Adegbenga Kaka has declared that the incident was a signal that lawmakers and other parties members are in danger.Last week, at the secretariat of the party in Abeokuta, some journalists and party members were injured during a free for all by APC members.Kaka, a former deputy governor of the state representing Ogun East in the Senate, while restatinghis call for thorough investigation into the matter, said that the incident if not quickly checked portends danger for the state.“The ugly incident was unfortunate. The security agencies must move fast to arrestthe situation. Ogun State people don’t deserve this barbaric act. The media and innocent citizens of the state are being attacked with impunity. We hope that the police and other security agencieswill get to the root of the matter,” he said.Already, the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, had been fingered by some APC chieftains, as the brain behind theattack on the party members he allegedly perceived as his politicalenemies. It would be recalled that a Divisional Police Officer and Sunday Akinbode, a police orderlyto senator representing Ogun Central, Gbenga Obadara, and six others were injured when thugs invaded the senatorial meeting ofthe senator.Obadara said necessary steps would be taken to ensure that theIGP, is petitioned to “naturally investigate the incident. Wherever fire arms are used as was the case last Thursday, the topmost echelon of the police must come in.”Recalling the incidence that led tothe fracas, Obadara said he was about inaugurating a N32 million women and youths centre when hoodlums invaded the venue, saying the venue had to be changed when it became obvious that they were out to scuttle the programme.
