[Weekend] I recognized Ono Daisukes voice 1-2 minutes in to the episode one of Barakamon. My partner argued it wasnt him (he sounded different here, which is good) at first until we checked it online. HA! But then again, Im an Ono D fan. Sometimes,me and my friends would watch new series together and argue that this and that is being voiced by this or that seiyuu without looking it up first. Our geek levels are sometimes in an embarrassing level, but Im sort of proud of it haha! I spent this weekend cough potato-ing. As Im typing this, another bout of fever is settling in, what a bummer. Anyhow, Chase and I watched Barakamon, Sword Art Online 2 and marathon-ed the Season1 of Penny Dreadful. Aside from its main character being voiced by my favorite seiyuu, Barakamon is a slice of life story with an interesting premise. Ive always loved calligraphy (and other visual art forms made with hand) so this series really piques my interest. Sword Art Online 2...animation is better than the previous one.I know a lot got turned off with the previous season but give this season a chance! :) Penny Dreadfuls pacing is slow at first, as they had to establish each character, I think. What made me love it aside from the costumes are the mish-mash of some of the novels I love and characters I HATE with passion. Frankenstein is one story I read when I was younger. It was a very painful story and I am happy with how they interpreted the monster in this TV series. Dorian Gray on the other hand, oh dear... I love Oscar Wildes ability to make me feel passionate somethings for a fictitious entity :)) In this case, its disgust and hatred. If you love your classics (like me) I recommend you watch Penny Dreadful :3 Hellsing appears too! Hows your weekend? I feel like one of the siblings from No Game, No Life. My weekend is just sleep, eat, play,watch, eat, sleep. I feel so damn unproductive and I cant wait to get back to my work desk.
