#WeightAndWeightMethod16 WAIT & WEIGHT METHOD STEP - 04 - PUMPING KILL MUD FROM BIT TO SURFACE & REMOVING INFLUX OUT OF WELLBORE ✓ When the kill mud is at Bit, SIDPP is equal to FCP. ✓ Now the Tool Pushers on Remote Choke Panel will concentrate on SIDPP and keep the SIDPP value constant at FCP. ✓ The Tool pusher keeps manipulating the choke to keep SIDPP constant to FCP value. During this SICP starts increasing as the kick travels upward. ✓ If the SIDPP value increases above FCP, the tool pusher slightly opens the choke to reduce the drill pipe pressure and bring it back to FCP value. ✓ If the SIDPP value decreases below FCP, the tool pusher closes the choke to increase back pressure on drill pipeand bring it back to FCP value. ✓ When the kick reaches the surface SICP takes its maximum value. ✓ When the kick is circulated out from choke by slightly opening the choke, SICP start decreasing. Remember, maintain SIDPP equal to FCP. Donot concentrate on SICP. The SICP value will be as it should be. You only need to maintain SIDPP value at FCP. ✓ When the Kick is completely out of Hole, SICP reduces and attains some lower value. ✓ Stop the pump reducing the pump throttle in steps of 5 SPM, maintaining SICP Constant. ✓ Bring pump SPM to Zero and shut-off the pump. ✓ Record SICP & SIDPP. ✓ Now both arms of U-tube is full of kill mud & hydrostatic pressure exerted by both arm is equal to or slightly above formation pressure. ✓ Thus, SICP & SIDPP value Should be ZERO. ✓ If, SICP = SIDPP = 0 psi, we have successfully killed the well using Wait & Weight Method.
