♫♪ Were always proving who we are. Always reaching for that rising star. ♪♫ People assume that I had always wanted to be a musician. But it was actually just one of many other hobbies I had. I had very supportive parents. They took me to music competitions, marital arts competitions, spelling bees, science fairs, tennis lessons, and gymnastics. My dad put me on the piano when I was about 8. I asked for the cello when I was 11 because piano is such lonely instrument, and I wanted to join an orchestra so that I could play with other kids. I auditioned as a cellist for the Cerritos College Orchestra when I was about 12, and a college scholarship allowed me to skip high school. When youre so young, youre told to do something and you dont ask too many questions. I received my music degree by the time I was 14. It was that year when the scandalous grace of God knocked me over. I didnt go to parties or talk about girls the way my friends did. But God still had a plan to expose the filthy pride in my heart and blow me up with His grace. God didnt allow me to hide my pride and as I was confessing my shame and guilt, Gods Word stabbed my heart. Two thousand years ago, Jesus died for my pride. Every drop of blood that poured from Him was another drop of love covering my guilt and shame. This is the gospel of Gods grace. He exposes my sins and says to me that Im forgiven unconditionally. For me, forgiveness is the best word to describe unconditional love. I used to think that love was shaped like a heart. Now I know that true love is shaped like a cross. youtube/watch?v=9xtyhXI2SVo
