== Western Union teams up with SRK == Bollywood movie star Shah Rukh Khan has fought supervillains and danced with some of the world’s most beautiful ladies. But did you know he’s a fan of westernunion? Shah Rukh Khan, aka SRK, is the new Western Union global ambassador, and this celebrity-corporation team-up totally makes sense. We’re both internationally known, and experienced. SRK also shares another trait with Western Union: he’s tech savvy. He’s an avid video game player, he uses an e-reader, he prefers Macs to PCs, and he’s an active Twitter user, with 9 million followers. Recently, he found time to join us and shoot some photos and commercials for our online money transfer service and the Western Union mobile app. That’s no small feat considering he’s currently busy promoting both his new film, Happy New Year, and wrapping up his global tour, SLAM!: The Tour. Because he’s a meticulous global star, SRK shared our enthusiasm in the development of all our scripts and creative! But all work and no play makes Shah Rukh a dull Khan, so he also made time to hang with everyone on the set, taking photos with crew members and our own Nidhi Gupta, Senior Marketing Manager, Americas for westernunion. The resulting ads highlight the common ground WU shares with SRK: trustworthy, hardworking, experienced. Both he and WU hail from humble beginnings, but have grown into worldwide powerhouses.
