It used to be that getting signed meant a lot of money, and a lot of opportunities for bands. Now, it just means you’re more than likely going to get screwed. I really wish more unsigned, independent artists would read the “real” story on major labels & act accordingly with the internet providing so many avenues for musicians, artists could essentially start a necessary revolution to bring down the major labels.
