What a bunch of govt BS. Doubling the tax on flights and possibly more so depending on layover time which seems to be contrary to the law. Plus it is not going for airport security but supposedly to reduce the deficit but actually just ends up being more money Congress and the govt can spend. Sorry to say airport security based on not just experts but what frequent travelers say sucks. It makes no sense screening US Citizens when it should really be screening terrorists only which the HHS and the NSA are supposed to have already identified. Hell if you allow anyone to get half way in the terminals do you honestly think enough armed terrorists could not make it through the screening stations without much difficulty and create all the chaos and destruction they could manage. Currently what exists just gives a false sense of security.
