✞ What is Salvation? - Bible’s Instructions to Receive It. Salvation is the deliverance from the penalty of sin [death] and the reception of eternal life [life with Christ forever] and the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit at the moment of faith. Romans 6:23~ For the wages of sin is *death; but the gift of God is *eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. There is considered three facets of ones salvation expressed by theologians as justification, sanctification, and glorification. The very moment one *believes [trusts in; faith in] the gospel of Christ (See 1 Cor.15.1-4) one is delivered from the penalty of sin. God imputes his own righteousness by indwelling the individual via the Holy Spirit and judicially declares the believer to be righteous in his sight, this is a gift of justification. The believer is given a new nature which is alive to God. When one *believes he is immediately baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ. No water is involved here as this is a spiritual baptism. God gives him the indwelling Holy Spirit as a deposit or down payment (ἀρραβών,) for the hopeful expectation of being delivered from the power and presence of sin for eternity. The process of being delivered from the power of sin while we live on this earth is known as sanctification. The third facet of salvation is being delivered from the presence of sin and is known as glorification. This occurs when the believer receives a new, resurrection body. I am so very sad to say many confuse this simple matter of *trusting in Jesus, his death for our sin payment and resurrection from the tomb for our justification, with unscriptural appeals to “invite Christ into your heart” or “repent and accept Christ as your Savior” be baptized in water for salvation, and the list goes on and on. These are not Scriptural! This will NOT save you, it is a false gospel. Galatians 1:8 ~ ”But though we, or an angel from heaven, *preach any other gospel* unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed Such appeals, while well-intentioned, are NOT the Bibles instructions for salvation as found only in *gospel of Christ*. One is saved by only one way, trusting in the person and work of Jesus on the cross for us and in his death, burial and resurrection–not by “inviting Christ into one’s heart or life, not by prayer, not by invitation but by *FAITH* in *the gospel of Christ. Eph. 2:8 ~ For by grace are ye saved through *faith*; and that not of yourselves: it is the *gift of God:* One *MUST BELIEVE* that Christ died for YOUR sins, was buried and rose again from the grave to save YOU, with nothing else add or noting taken away. Gods redemption is given to ALL who put their faith in Christ and His finished work. (1 Cor. 15:1-4) Please trust Him now!
