#WhatYouMightHaveMissed some 22 Embu MCAs seeking to re-impeach Governor Martin Wambora want the residents’ support. Last Saturday, the MCAs addressed a public rally where they explained to the residents the necessity of supporting their move as it is the only way they will protect their taxes. The MCAs, led by the assembly’s majority leader Andrew Musakwa, met at Rukuriri village in Kyeni North ward where they kicked off a series of rallies to seek residents’ blessings in their second attempt to impeach the governor. The MCAs, who were hosted by their colleague Kanjogu Njiru, said they will table the motion at the assembly tomorrow and this time round “they will follow due process to impeach him”. They said the issue they had raised in the first motion are yet to be addressed and that is why they are filing the impeachment motion again. Musakwa said the MCAs are ready for the second round of impeachment. Making what they called the Rukuriri Declaration, the MCAs said the executive, led by Wambora, has continued to violate the constitution and are not accountable.
