“Who do people say I am?” Have you ever asked your friends, - TopicsExpress

“Who do people say I am?” Have you ever asked your friends, close associates or family members this question? It is absolutely important that you get independent and honest feedback from people who can tell you the truth without fear. What people say you are is probably the image people have of you. Of course, be prepared to be shocked as you hear feedback that is not so pleasant. I recently had the opportunity to receive very negative feedback about what people think I am and their perceptions of my motives for doing some of the things I do. It was not nice and pleasant (especially where pure malicious comments were made), but it is very important to hear what people interpret of what I do and say. It helps to sober me up and to be more conscious of, and responsible for my words and actions. Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them,“Who do people say I am?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.” (Mark 8:27-28). In another instance, people labelled Jesus a glutton and a drunkard! "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ (Matthew 11:19) ...not so nice feedback! but he gladlyreceived the feedback BY Henry Kachaje
