"Whom do I have in heaven but you? And besides You, I desire - TopicsExpress

"Whom do I have in heaven but you? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. "(Psalm 73:25-26) King David loved God and sought deeply, but mostly lived his life according to the will of God, despite his failings as a man. "And as for you, if you walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded thee, and keep my statutes and my ordinances." (1 Kings 9: 4) God was everything to David. Despite being the king of Israel, David valued on way to God, to the extent that he did not care to humble themselves before Him, no matter what people said about Him "So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the horn, with trumpets, and with cymbals, harps and lyres. 29And it came to pass when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal daughter of Saul looked out the window, and saw King David leaping and rejoicing, and she despised him in her heart. "(1 Chronicles 15: 28-29) In Psalm 23 we can see the confidence that David had in God. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2In green pastures He makes me lie; beside the still waters He leads me. 3The restores my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name. 4Although walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5TU prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou hast anointed my head with oil, my cup runneth over. 6Ciertamente the goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and in the house of the LORD will dwell for long days.
