“Why do we keep apparently, continue to accumulate huge budget cash surpluses? How would the huge surpluses benefit Singaporeans?” Huge surpluses just meant that Singaporeans are overtaxed and state lands are sold at high prices, resulting in high property prices, high rentals and high business costs – drowning Singaporeans. Also, the reader pointed that Singapore is not among the 100 countries ranked in the latest 2012 Open Budget Index (OPI), which is basically a ranking measuring the transparency of Government spending. Do you think the PAP needs to be voted out because of this?
