Why is the Minister for Immigration, Scott Morrison, still in public office when he has allowed a refugee to be murdered and many others attacked with the assiistance of PNG police and locals. This is not the first person in detention to die, there have been suicides, including one at Maribyrnong where guards waited for a distressed man who had scaled a basket ball pole to tumble head first to his death. No charges or disciplinary or educational responses came. But a man has been murdered on Manus. And it was neither on water or operational. How many of us are shamed by our mistreatment of refugees by the thuggish boys in Canberra parliament. As if they would not pay any price to get on a leaky boat to flee persecution, torture or threat of death.
