Fortunately Windows Phone has a neat app called ‘Wifi Sender’ which does exactly the same. Functionality of the app is pretty straight forward with simple UI. The host device & the device u need to send the file must be in same Wi-Fi network. Or else you can use Windows Phone’s ‘Internet Sharing’ option to connect different devices on single Wi-Fi Network. A single page UI is so simple, u just need to choose File(s) u need to send through file picker API available in WP8.1. U can select any file located in your Phone’s memory or SD card. On other device, u just need to scan the QR code or type the given URL in the browser address bar. You’ll receive the file through Wi-Fi without Internet connection. Wifi Sender available in the Windows Phone store for $ 0.99 with trial option. The trial version only allows you to send files up to 1 MB with no multiple files selection option.
