Will someone please explain to me, how it can possibly be that a Muslim Arab Israeli can more clearly see the profound moral and ethical distinctions between Israel and her sworn enemies - enemies who are mostly members of his own religion - and distinctions which make this lone island of democracy in a sea of hatred, violence, bloodshed and theocratic authoritarianism worth fighting, and perhaps even dying for, than so many of my intelligent, liberal, progressive American, Canadian, and European friends can? I am at a total loss because I have a significant number of friends whom I consider to be intelligent, compassionate, and empathetic people, but who have nonetheless swallowed the pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel propaganda hook, line, and sinker. It is especially difficult for me to understand how they can do that when the Sharia regimes they are promoting and supporting, are among the most brutally cruel, oppressive and intolerant ones on the planet. Can it simply be Political Correctness run amok? I cannot imagine how else such deep cognitive dissonance can possibly be accounted for. You seemed to be expressing a skepticism about my assertions that the IDF, while certainly not perfect, has got to be - overall - the most moral, ethical, humane, and compassionate army in the world. And your friend Philip DeCamargo went so far as to call us ZioNazis - a horribly hateful and unfair characterization - to which you did not object at all. In fact you seemed to be in agreement with him. Muslim IDF Soldier Keeps Watch Over Israels Gaza Border Watch a day in the life of a #Muslim soldier who protects #Israel from Gaza terrorism. Staff Sgt. Ahmed Inaim talks about what it means to be a Muslim in the #IDF – and why he’s determined to serve his country. Read more at idfblog/ —
