“Words of Encouragement” Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. Ps 63:4 I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1 Timothy 2:8 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord Psa 134:2 Someone from Schumpert Hospital Rehab in Shreveport, La. called and ask if someone would do a service for the people there in Rehab on Sunday afternoon so Brother Tim (Director & founder of the Bible School WOLSM) made it a Bible School training time and he ask if my Husband & I would start it and train others students. One Sunday service I was playing my guitar and singing the song “With My Hands Lifted Up” and my mouth filled with Praise with a Heart of Thanksgiving I will Bless You Oh Lord. I will Bless You Oh Lord I Will Bless You Oh Lord With a Heart of Thanksgiving I will Bless You Oh Lord. Now at the end of the service this lady was going out and she said, “You offended me we don’t lift our hands in our church” I ask her to forgive me and I felt so bad that I had offended her. I was going to the car talking to the Lord and I said, “Lord I will take that song out of the sheet to keep from offending people and I hear this “ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE IT OUT OF THE BIBLE?” Well it is in the bible (scriptures above) and I ask the Lord to help me explain, why we do this and I got this. If a man put s a gun in your back up you would raise your hand high and that’s means surrender. Hey it’s by faith you first do it and then you are free, works in so many ways. Well years later we came to Mena, AR and I heard this preacher on the radio use the same illustration (both hearing from the same Spirit). We surrender our life’s and reaching out to the Lord, not only to give honor, but receive from our Lord and Savior. Now if your church doesn’t do that it’s okay, we have gifts in the body of Christ people don’t know about or haven’t received and we grow in Christ and I pray this has helped some of you out there. Have a great weekend and enjoy your House of God. Agape, Glynn Nell
