“Would you be willing to withdrawal your request for the Bond Resolution in exchange for a raise for the teachers?” - 1/25/2014 -1:36:56 - Oesterreich Appointed Commissioner Oesterreich tried to force our Elected School Board to take their request for a school bond off of the table in exchange for a teacher salary increase. This is one of the ways he intends to make his Plan work, pitting our needs against each other! A school bond would enable us to meet the needs of the Kannapolis City Schools, Cabarrus County Schools and Rowan Cabarrus. A school bond must be voted on by the people of Cabarrus County to be approved. Thats the beauty of a school bond, it lets the people choose if we feel like its something we need! Unfortunately, Oesterreich, Burrage and Measmer didnt feel like we should have this option as requested and have taken away our right to vote on it in full!
