[Wrote this last Mothers Day 2014...Pssst! How can I, who never bore a child, describe the feeling of a true biological mom? Thru pure listening of personal testimonies, hahaha!] U ARE BEAUTIFUL ! Ha3x, binuang ! Bitaw. If you’re a mother, then you’re beautiful- inside & out. Simple explanation: A mother exemplifies beauty and grace under pressure. She moves without prior rehearsals, unlike a beauty candidate who practices her production number several times. The same with child-rearing because each child is different from the other. Pero, kaya pa niyang mag-work. Grace under pressure, indeed. Poise & grace under pressure, indeed. Yet, after delivery, the mother gives away her sweetest & gentlest smiles upon seeing her newborn. “Ang sarap maging mommy!”, goes the one-liner of Ryzza Mae’s mama in their TV ad. Charm under pain, indeed. Hangtod na sa pagpadako sa anak (actually, di na maihap ang thousands of struggles that a mother faces), she always has that inner strength to stand “tall & beautiful” for the sake of her children! Simple explanation: All because of God’s grace. God is the Author of motherhood. Gani, He has devoted Proverbs 31:10-30 in describing the wife and mother of noble character. That’s why you and I must salute each mom and say, “U are beautiful…because God designed you to be that way.” Sa usa ka kasal, the mothers of both the bride & groom maoy 2nd nga mo-stand-out after the bride. They’re beautiful. Of course, sila gud ang nagluwal sa bride & groom. [Sorry Pader, karong Father’s Day na pod ka dayegon ha? Ha3x, joke3x!] When I was a kid, I used to look up at my mother who is a teacher. Natural, my mother is also beautiful! “Kanus-a kaha ko ma-pareha ni Mama no?”, I asked myself. My mother shared many wonderful lessons to me, one of which was this : “The teacher is the #1 visual aid in the classroom. So, she must give her all- facial expressions, dramatic voice & body motions included, for the sake of her pupils.” Becoz the classroom is our 2nd home, ang atong female teachers mora pod ug mothers nato. And vice versa. In our homes, ang atong mothers ato pod nga teachers. They teach us both the basics and intricacies of life. We owe our lives to them. That’s why, we couldn’t afford to discard God’s Word in Prov. 6:20 and Prov. 23:22- “Do not forsake your mother’s teaching.”… “Do not despise your mother when she is old.” Our Almighty God finds each mom beautiful. How can we think otherwise? Say it, “Ka-guapa nimo, Mader!” Now, everyone will please say, “Amen !!” (P.S. Jesus holds us all together. Amen!) Part 1 of a series
