( YOU CAN BE A TRUE WORSHIPER )part one. . In the world today, a lot of people have given much devotion to so many things and objects, just because they see some result whether good or bad. . For the fact you got result does not make a thing right or acceptable by God, its an act of pragmatism. And God does not work that way. . The devil who used to be the god of this world before Jesus came, is master in taking advantage and the glory of any devotion that is inconsistent with Gods word, he masterminds it; And God cannot be seperated from His word. (John 1:1). Apostle Paul warns about the end time spirits; talking of seducing spirits and the doctrines of the devil. (1Tim.4:1), And also . the philosophies and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of this world, and not after Christ. Which he said from such turn away. (Col.2:8). . These are several things people worship in the world today, and funny enough, they do have some results in it, but they are all idolatary; so dont be carried away by so called result they get. For e.g. The far easterners who believe so much in magic and all kinds of satanic gods including snakes: & the Indians who believe in so many of those satanic gods also including budah: & like the diana of Ephesus; in (Acts 19:24-28). & the Athenians who believes in so many idol gods, including the unknown God which Apostle Paul latter introduced to them, in (Acts 17:23-31). If they are not getting some result they wouldnt continue, but that does not make it right worship before God. . The conversation of Jesus and the woman of Samaria is another eye opener. And Jesus made a remarkable statement in (John 4) saying, The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him: God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24). . The true worship of God must be in the spirit, else its not acceptable no matter the form of it. (1Cor. 2:9-13). And it is practiced through spiritual exercise of godlines, which have the promise of the present life and that which is to come. (1Tim.4:7-8) . My beloved friends and brethren, I like to live you with this thoughts, as you re-examine your devotion this day whether they are of God or of the world, remember the world will soon pass away.
