“Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, and it will again be subject to burning, like a terebinth or an oak whose stump remains when it is felled. The holy seed is its stump.” (Isaiah 6:13) The Lord always has the remnant who remain faithful. It is a small portion of the whole. Although things at times seem bleak, yet there are those who will follow the Lord. No matter the circumstances, faithfulness remains in those who believe. Live, then, for the Lord not because of circumstances, but because of who He is, Creator of the universe. Live in His grace and mercy and know that He is God. Lord, help me in every time to come to You and live according to Your never-failing principles. Guide me into a life of faith, growing in the maturity of a disciple and seeking Your will in all things. Grow the seed of faithfulness in me that I would not be counted among the dead, but among the living, knowing that only in You is there life, hope and a future. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming and bringing light and life. In Your Word, You bring guidance, direction for all who believe. Help me this day to grow in trust as You lead, that I would do those things that You direct and live according to Your never-failing Word. Help me listen as You speak and then put into action what it is that You have spoken. May I be faithful this day in thought, word and deed. Amen.
