#YoHeads Heres the story behind Dres verse on this record: So theyre recording at Stankonia, Dre is in the yo with Rico Wade & Ray Murray. Dres already laid a party of the hook, but not his yet. He comes out the booth talking about how hes not inspired to rap anymore, and asked 2/3 of Organized Noise, Is Hip-Hop really dead? They look at him crazy like, Shawty, you are Hip-Hop!!!! So hes like whatever, goes back in the booth to do some adlibs on the hook, Ray & Rico shrug it off, go back to passing the blunt & playing Playstation. Theyre so in to the rotation/video games, by the time they realize the hook was over, the beat is still going & they see/hear Dre rhyming off the top of his head about what they just previously talked about. This verse was a freestyle done in one take. Now Heads, go back & listen to Dres verse, & then tell me he aint one of the GOATS. -as told to me by Earvin Rodney
