But stay away from overambitious oncologists, and let’s stop wasting billions trying to cure cancer, potentially leaving us to die a much more horrible death.” love this. it seems like every other person these days are getting cancer, as opposed to back in the day where chances of you getting cancer was if it ran in your family. my mom died of cancer but not without fighting it for a decade. chemo, radiation, pills... you name it, shes done em all. i appreciate and love her for putting herself through so much pain just so she can live for us for a lil longer. that all said, if i kena cancer, ill be grateful. we all have to die anyway. ive made peace with death and im not afraid of it. what i cant bear is the thought of having life robbed away from me in an instant. like a freak car accident, a sudden heart attack etc. which is why if i had to choose, id be grateful if i got to die of cancer. at least i know when my end is coming. i can plan. organize a proper going away party.. or something to that effect. and then just as ive lived my life, i get to die on my own terms too. but thats just my thoughts. thats why i felt connected to this article by Confessions of a Funeral Director.
