BUT, this is not about politics in general. Its about knowledge. It is very sad whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green, etc., when our elected officials dont know how the government works. I learned why we have three branches of government in the 7th and 12th grade. I learned WHY our founders made it that way: It is the very principle of scrutiny that defines a government that is equipped with a separation of powers. Each branch of government checks the power of the other branches of government. THE END. It’s even more disturbing that America has a representative in Congress who believes this way. Research, learn, and be active folks, no matter what side of the political fence you sit on.
