“… all the tribulations that will befall me will not harm - TopicsExpress

“… all the tribulations that will befall me will not harm me.” I love this quote from my meditation book as I’ve found it to be so true; all the tribulations that have befall me, not only have they not harmed me, they’ve grown me up and I wouldn’t be this happy, peaceful and joyful person if it weren’t for them! We just have to learn to walk bravely with God, knowing that whatever He wants for us, my guys, is best for us – the good, the bad and the ugly! Here’s some more from my special book and I suggest you read it a few times to really get this message! “My child, let me do with you what I will; I know what is best for you. You think as a human being; you will judge many things as human affection persuades you. Lord, what you say is true; your solicitude for me is greater than any care that I can have for myself, because he lives too much at hazard who does not cast his care on you. Lord, as long as my will remains right and firm in you, do whatsoever it shall please you. Because it cannot but be good, whatever you shall do with me. If you want me in darkness, be you blessed; and if you want me in light, be you still blessed. If you deign to console me, be you blessed; and if you want me afflicted, be you always equally blessed. My child, this is how you must be, if you wish to walk with me. You must be ready to suffer as to rejoice. You must willing love to be poor and needy of all as to be rich and wealthy. Lord, I will suffer willingly for your love whatsoever you will permit to befall me. I want to receive without any distinction from your hand the good and the evil, the sweet and the bitter, the joy and the sorrow, and thank you for all that happens to me. Preserve from me all sin, and I will fear neither death nor hell. As long as you do not cast me off forever, nor blot me out of the Book of Life; all the tribulations that will befall me will not harm me. God, our most merciful Father, knows our needs better than we do. He alone can deliver us from evils and overwhelm us with good things. Nothing befalls us without his permitting it. Therefore let us abandon and place in God all our troubles and anxieties.” Rejoice and trust God always! Live kindly, love extravagantly, forgive quickly and let everything you do be pleasing to God! WE GO WITH GOD!
