~^< ♥ >^~ and ~^< ♥ >^~ Brought home some ground minced Horseradish paste from a now favorite regional steak and chop house ten miles out of town. Its a real lowkey, well liked, and very busy but quiet rural western type of place in a one horse town. I went there a couple of weeks ago to try one of their opened double pork chop specialities which was stellar, and wanted to try it again here at home today..... When I repeated the faire here in the safety of my own dining area, I immediately starting flooding tears and had a deep bronchial inhalation treatment that any Buddhist yoga breathing excercise would be proud of, at no extra charge. My eyes were drenching me as if I were walking in a blasting sandstorm in the Sahara. No cool shades in the world could hide the effect, as if your best friend died, but it was only you. Sniff. sniff..... From across the room the scent alone can season, as well as flavor the finest cuts. I lovingly scraped it all off of 4 steaks and put it in a container to be used sparingly later. Even brushed bare, the steak was way past tasting like beef, and should be bottled in some realms of Aromatic healing agents. Will never do it quite the same way again. Lesson 1: I should have brought a horseradiish root home and just chewed on it for a while. Wow. Lesson 2: just gonna go back and have dinner there again to see if I was hallucinating as I am now, exercising some restraint. Somehow bananas and horseradish just doesnt cut it...... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
