. . . and a great cover from James Blunt, born James Hillier Blount, who shot to worldwide fame while serving as a Captain in the Household Cavalry, consisting of the 2 oldest and most senior regiments of the British Army ~ the Lifeguards and the Blues and Royals ~ James Blunt was an officer with the Lifeguards Regiment. It is the Household Cavalry mounted divisions whose proud duty it is to provide escort and protection to her majesty the queen on all state and ceremonial occasions . . . with his career as a singer sky-rocketing, he resigned his commission, but not before making one, in particular, very significant contribution to world peace which I will elude to further down here. Congratulations are currently in order too ~ he quietly married none other than the gorgeous Sofia Wellesley a couple of weeks ago ~ the grand daughter of another world famous army officer whose historic campaign & victory at the Battle of Waterloo led to the defeat, and brought to an end the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte; he was of course Sir Arthur Wellesley, The Duke of Wellington ~ his horse btw, a beautiful chestnut stallion was called Copenhagen (a popular quiz question here at home in the pubs) :)
