~click link to view slideshow~ Minerva Gorospe lovingly known to all as “Minnie” was born on December 28, 1950 in Manila, Philippines to Marcel and Cresencia Villa. She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren as well as her older sister, Myrna Bungay and younger brother, Marcel Villa, Jr. She reunites in Heaven with both of her parents, her eldest sister, Lourdes Arevalo and mother-in-law Constancia Gorospe. Growing up, Minnie enjoyed playing badminton, volleyball, and going shopping at the market with her siblings to seek the sweetest mangoes and heaviest watermelon. As a young lady, she successfully earned a nursing degree. She married the love of her life, Roberto “Bobby” Gorospe on February 5, 1972 and welcomed their first baby, a beautiful daughter...Marie within the year. Soon after, she bravely decided to be apart from them, migrate solo to America (with only a bike!) in search of freedom, opportunity, and a brighter future for her new family. In 1975, they were reunited and began this milestone proudly calling an apartment on the corner of Hobart and Melrose in Los Angeles their new home. They finally felt complete being together again, both establishing careers, meeting new people and visiting different parts of America. Bobby and Minnie were then pleasantly surprised and truly blessed with identical twins, Allen and Bryan. To this day, we’re all still debating if they should have stuck to their first choice of naming their sons, Starksy & Hutch. Last but definitely not least, her greatest pride and joy are her 2 grandchildren, Morgan and Hamilton being their one and only “Mimi”. Minnie lived a full life of pure bliss and laughter, with her infectious personality she always became the center of the party. She shared this gift with everyone. Since Bobby’s retirement, they were inseparable and every day was a date - as she always said, “I’m enjoying!”. She is forever in all our hearts especially where there is great company, upbeat music, ballroom dancing, delicious food and of course, we can’t forget a trip to Las Vegas!
