We will be hosting a General Meeting on Friday to further discuss the Mini Studio and to finalize the leMook theme for the coming year. General Meeting Get involved in the event-making process or come just to hang out at our weekly general meeting. All are welcome! Friday, November 1 5:00PM - 7:00PM Henry Angus 234 2. Halloween Haunted House Contest Its Halloween! Share us your image, description or how you feel about haunted house! You can present it in any form of art not limited to compositions or paintings! Be creative and lets enjoy this years Halloween! -> Submit through admin@ubcle, please provide your pen name as well as your real name (so if you win, we know who to give the prize to). Artworks will be posted on Facebook page with your pen name (or real name, if preferred). Deadline is Nov. 2, and a Facebook unlimited vote poll will be open for one-week long voting. -> There will be two categories: composition and free art, the one with the most votes in each category will win the prize -LE playing cards with a Haunted House themed cover! -> Compostion limitation: 500 words max in English and 1000 words max in Chinese. Only one entry per person. 3. Taiwan Talent Recruitment Seminar The Taiwan Trade Centre in Vancouver will be organizing a Taiwan HiRecruit Seminar at UBC. Participants will be provided with information on Taiwanese industries, its job market as well as its environment along with the opportunity to interact with Taiwan talent recruitment services. Guest speakers will be offering esteemed insight and sharing stories of their own experiences. Attendance requires semi-formal attire at the very least!
