@ekamathletica drills for Padmasana #asanarecipeoftheweek in Drill 1 Focus on taking the pubic bone to the wall so that the pubic bone and hip bones are on the same plane, while also keeping your butt on the floor. In drill 2 use the strap to teach you how to externally rotate your leg bone in the hip socket. Pull the strap apart and try to mimic the movement with your muscles. Be careful not to push the leg down. Drill 3 is half lotus with a block underneath of the knee. Use a block or blanket for support until the leg is on the floor which comes by externally rotating and lengthening the thigh away from your body. Drill 4 is double pigeon. Continue finding the extra rotation in both legs while grounding your sit bones to the floor. #ashtanga #yoga
