[from WABA] Hey folks, Our bike ambassador coordinator position is open, as Megan McCarty our former coordinator moved onto a more transit-inclusive gig at GoDCGo. The BA program coordinator runs our DC-based on-street outreach. Theyre the creative mind and develop the fun, informative, inspiring, volunteer-supported events around the city that encourage all D.C. residents to consider biking, and be more respectful road-users. I need your help filling the position. Were looking for someone excited about bike advocacy, someone who works hard and smart, and someone whos committed to changing the face of bicycling i.e. a person who knows and understands the importance of social justice work in transportation. This program has the potential to do so much more in terms of language inclusivity and targeted demographic outreach. WABA has a lot of work to do on the diversity & equity front, and an important first step is filling up our staff with people devoted to making our movement an equitable movement.
