#gmorning+what a difference 24hrs can make. life is full of surprises. it started as a lazy day, thinking about but mostly knowing that you are not going to get around to organizing the basement. the phone rings and caller id removes the guess work but adds to the dread. mom calling at this hour is usually not good news. it wasnt my dad was in discomfort and wanted to go to the hospital. the words he wanted to go are enough to know that it was more than discomfort. a saturday morning in an inner city ER was a surprise because it was mostly empty. we check in and get immediate service. the doctors check him out and deem it concerning critical. there are a myriad of issues; so he will be staying a few days. they say we are the only creatures who consider our own mortality and i know that is weighing heavy on dad. please keep a good thought, say a prayer or send a vibe. ’Tis we, who lost in stormy visions, keep With phantoms an unprofitable strife,... we endure and the circle continues. love you dad. the same tunes as yesterday and the coffee is a little sweeter right now.
