(had to repost these I added the youtub video from David Allen Rivera) A little leaven: Written by: William Wimbs To begin this article, I would like to ask you a question. If I have a 55 gallon drum of clean pure water and I add a quart of toxic waste to that drum how much toxic waste will I have, or what happens to the clean pure water? The answer would be 55 gallons and one quart of toxic waste, right, because the quart of toxic waste will contaminate the whole 55 gallons of clean pure water. The 55 gallons of clean, pure water will not clean and purify the toxic waste. Now, think about this, because this is just what the bible correctors have done to the word of God. Now, if you do not believe that you have access to the pure words of God, then your final authority is not God; but some man or you yourself are your final authority and by merit of your own argument, you have an imperfect authority, subject to error. John 12:4748 (KJV) And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. Jesus told the Jews that the word he had spoken would judge them in the last day. It is amazing to me how many so-called Christians today, who say that they are willing to accept the Idea of an imperfect and corrupted word of God. They are fond of saying that some members of their family or someone they know were saved when using one of these corrupt bibles. I am not talking about being saved, there is a lot more to being a God pleasing Christian than just being saved, that is the just the first step. Sure, you are secure in your salvation for eternity, but we have been left here on this earth to be ambassadors for Christ, however, without the truth we cannot be good ambassadors. A case in point is, 2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Only the KJV has this instruction to rightly divide the word of truth. The NIV seems to be the most popular among the new version Bibles and it reads nothing like KJV there is no instruction to rightly divide. 2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV) 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Just look at that verse in the NIV Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved. That does not say what God said, God never said try anything, In the word of God, he Study to shew thyself approved unto God. Now are you so unfamiliar with the English language to think these two phrases mean the same thing, one would have to be a real dunce to believe that. Do your best, is something man thought up not God. That is the reason for Gods pure Grace, because your own performance has never been good enough for God, so in grace God did it for you. Without a perfect bible to instruct us we are just spitting in the wind, without the whole truth and nothing but the truth, we will never be able to be at peace with God and ourselves. Nevertheless, believe whatever you want to believe and I will pray that your robe is pure white and that you have the right answer when you stand before the judgment seat of Christ. I believe with all that is within me that we must have the pure and perfect words of God without error of any kind. If there is no such word available to me on this earth today that I can hold and handle with the confidence that it is the perfect word of God; then God has lied to me and everyone that has ever been born on this planet earth. I did not write this article to deny that people are saved by reading other bibles, I believe even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in awhile. People are saved by hearing the gospel and believing it. All of them present the gospel in some way, nevertheless there is more than just being saved there is the matter of good stewardship and personal spiritual growth. There is still the matter of obedience, also confidence that builds in us through the word of God, and our confidence will only be as strong in God as the confidence we have in his word. If I cannot trust God word to be perfect it is not going to inspire me to have an unwavering confidence in God. If you doubt God has preserved his word (Ps 12:6,7, Mt 11:25, Mt 24:35, Mk13: 31, Lk 21:33) then you doubt God and friend when that happens you are in deep trouble. youtu.be/vAyA-ymGbTs
