*holding back the tears* No... It wasnt my normal morning or afternoon singing. It was in the extended waiting area after my mammogram today. I was listening to the lady around my age with her Spanish accent as she tearfully tells the person on the other end of the phone how she was freaking out. This was her second callback. My instinct propelled me to go over as she closed out the conversation, hold her hand tightly, and embrace her in a sisterly Survivor-Conqueror hug. We proceded to talk a bit and I remind her WE have beautiful daughters to be here for. She speaks of her fears once more. So, I procede to give her MY testimony of thanks that I out-smarted fear by facing what I needed to know as quickly as possible in order to plan my ATTACK. For we cant win against fear if we have no idea what it is we must conquer. I remind her that the sooner she knows what she is up against, the sooner she can strategize DEFEAT! I then remind her that if its a false alarm, the sooner she can be relieved of the distress and worry of the currently unknown. Since I did not have the opportunity to see her after both our second phase of our visit, Ill be praying and meditating that Ms. Ortiz has the necessary revelation of her own strength and discernment to deal with any scenario that may confront her; and may she find tranquility to take her through this and future journeys. Amen and ashe~
