#hunterbeef4life – the best thing about being a food enthusiast is that your friends never let a chance go to pamper your palate with scrumptious food, and when it’s the founder of SWOT guide, the largest Facebook based foodie portal of Karachi we are talking about, expect nothing but crème de la crème. Nezihe Hussain was kind enough to bring along a heavenly foodie package of pressed ox tongue, pressed hunter chicken and hunter beef with fat from Hanifia Karachi, which had the tendency to impress the most demanding carnivores. I was suggested to sear the pressed ox tongue on a flat cast iron skillet that was well taken and achieved superb results. Being an admirer of the preserved taste of meat, I was astounded by the delicate flavours of ultra-soft pressed meat that started to tantalize my taste bud. The pressed hunter chicken went through the same treatment, and proved equally satisfying. What really jolted me was the Hunter Beef with Fat, salt-cured to perfection strips of beef that had an amazing marbleized texture. The beef had managed to retain the precious moisture even after going through the tough curing process. The most surprising aspect of this hunter beef was the way it faded away in the mouth, the moment one chewed it. #thatsallfolks
