#ilmsummit2014 - IlmSummit Things InshaAllah I fly for Toronto tomorrow morning, and I am excited to be back home, put up my feet, and just relax! Here are a few pictures I took of some interesting and amusing things (at least for me) that I found during my stay at #ilmsummit2014. Some things just did not make sense. #1 - The temptation bag of TimTam Cookies. I have no idea what they are, where they are from, but since Day 4 these cookies had stared at me, sitting in that exact position, not a single person to touch them or know about them. On Day 10, after everyone had left, I took them. Man they were solid. #2 - The Candy Table. May Allah (Swt) grant the brother or sister who kept replenishing this table with more candy, chocolates, biscuits, with the best of the dunia wa akhira. Ameen. It always seemed like the back left corner of the room was were all the fun was at, cookies, candies, and food! #3 - The Plug With Switches. First of all, 3 big massive pins on the plugs, compared to our puny Canadian ones were a bit amusing. But then to make things worse, you have to switch the plug on or off? Really? #4 - 50p And A Pound. Why is the 50p coin almost twice the size of a 1 GBP coin??? The larger monetary value should be bigger in size then the smaller one. Just like the Canadian looney ($1), is much bigger than a quarter ($0.25), and a tooney($2) bigger than a looney. #5 - Half Shower Door. Still does not make any sense to me what so ever. #6 - The Giant Clock in the Washroom. Sh Abu Eesa mentioned this in the class too, and just like the rest of the class I laughed just as hard. #7 - Sparkling Water. Why do Brits love their sparkling water? Almost every hotel serves sparkling water from what I have heard. Is it just a British thing? #8 - The It Table. MashaAllah the sister(s) at this table always had it going on here. Every time i passed by, there was a sharing of snacks, easy chill sessions, and by far looked like the most fun area to sit in. Thats all Ive got, comment if you have something odd or weird that you would like to share!
